If you read this article you might be unable to stop yourself from booking a flight to some exotic location… it’s a list of my favourite, or at least most memorable moments, from my time away (part one).

+ The kaleidoscope of colour otherwise known as Rio Carnaval parade in the Sambodrome. But for an even more authentic samba experience try the street parties for the locals.

+ Sunset as seen from Ko Tao, Thailand. The clouds became so many lovely shades of pink and red that you really did feel you were on a different planet!

+A restaurant that owned could list among its pets a litter of puppies, a monkey, a parrot, and a boar, who were free to roam the restaurant as though they were members of staff!

+ Instigating a crowd to go even crazier when we dared a guy to climb up the lamppost during the Buenos Aires St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2009. It ended up with a guy, half paralysed in his wheelchair, getting assistance from the crowd to have a go!

+ Being inches away from something as powerful as the Devil’s Throat waterfall in Iguazu Falls, Argentina. The sound was so loud it was hypnotising. Iguazu Falls in general was a moment you can’t easily forget.
