+ Being 23 – Happy Birthday To Me!

Source: bekind20thers @ DeviantArt

In less than two hours I turn 23… it sounds so old! I can no longer persist in the lie that I have only just reached my twenties, and I am nearer to 25 than 20. Never mind, with ages comes wisdom, and so I am going to set myself some goals for the next year of my life… no promises I can keep them though!

+ Buy a sewing machine and start making my own clothes. Saving money and creating my own designs at once? What’s not to like?! I’d particularly love to buy something horrid in a charity shop and, by the power of my amazing sewing and design skills, create something gorgeous!

+ Waste less time worrying about things that cannot be changed. I always want to bring out the best in people, but if they are not willing to do it themselves then I really need to learn to just admit defeat!

+ See my closest friends more. All of a sudden months pass by and it’s been an age since seeing my best friends. Not good.

+ (Money allowing), take a trip to Japan, or pretty much anywhere abroad.

+ I want to sit my arse down and force myself to write, write and keep on writing. It’s pointless wanting to be a writer in any capacity if you don’t do this single thing every day.

+ I want to make the most of now, rather than holding things off or pretending that things will be better tomorrow.

+ Go to the gym and run more. I hate feeling lazy, and doing some exercise will make those doughnuts and hefty glasses of wine that teeny bit more enjoyable!

+ Dance. No real reason, just to appreciate how good it feels to hear your favourite song.

+ Magically get an invitation to tFS forum!

+ I love photography, and want to be a more active member on Flickr. So hopefully in the next year I’ll contribute more and work on my photographic eye!

  2. Happy birthday! Those are some good goals, very realistic! Funny thing. That poncho is my great-grandfathers. Since we are all Argentine I am assuming he got it there, but he emigrated from Spain himself, so I am not 100% sure.
Anyway, I am adding you to mine as well. Your blog is VERY good, very professional
