Amen Sam, amen! I wholeheartedly agree with ALL of these points.

We will one day get into the Berghain I'm confident of it... just need to arrange another trip to Berlin!

I have to say winning the lottery (well, £78) at the end of 2011 is a sign things are picking up ;)

I love this post :). I can't wait for 2012 and all the excitement and adventure it'll hopefully bring. Off the top of my head, here are a few of the things I learned in 2011...

• If the guy you’re dating doesn’t want a girlfriend, chances are you won’t be the one to change his mind.

• Kissing boys from work is usually a bad idea. Especially if they sit opposite you.

• Great sex is awesome

• I’m capable than more than I think I am. Even running 13 miles.

• When your lives are going in such different directions, it can be easy to drift apart from friends. But some friendships are worth making the effort to hold on to.

• If a guy makes you cry on a weekly basis, chances are he’s not the one for you.

• Try not to worry about what other people think. It’s your life – do what makes you happy.

• Berlin nightclub bouncers are knobs ;)

There are a few things that I have noticed. If you don't think that money rules the world then you might just be trying to fool yourself. Your perception of the world tends to change once you have enough money so that you do not have to worry about your everyday needs. I have always been pretty happy but I didn't really start feeling calm until I started making some decent money. Of course, I could not have done this without the help of some great software that I received from Autopilot Income Machines. I already knew a little bit about making money on the Internet but to me, it looks like anyone could do this, even if they knew next to nothing about making money online. Autopilot Income Machines is a simple method that teaches anyone how to make your own income generating money pages that pay you directly. It also teaches you how to get free traffic from all over the internet to those pages quickly, easily and consistently and then goes on to show you how to quickly improve your results to generate the most amount of income you possibly can. It also uncovers a secret traffic strategy that lets you dominate almost any market that you choose. Right from the start you get 120 ready made money pages, complete with everything you need to get started quickly. You also get the auto setup software that automates the setup of 25 of your top money making web pages so you can get started with the traffic secrets. There is much more to this but what I am here to tell you is that it is simple enough so that just about anybody can get started in this. Also, here is a little secret. If you go to the salespage at http://lnk.co/G89CK and scroll down to the order button, you will see that this software and income earning informational program has already been heavily discounted to a price of only $37. However, if you don't click on the buy button and instead just close out or otherwise try to leave the page, you will be presented with another option. If you click cancel, you will then be presented with yet another option. If you click cancel on that page, you will then be able to take advantage of an additional $10 discount on this software. So, getting it for only $27 is really quite a steal! I say take advantage of it while you can. Hopefully that sales page will still be setup that way when you get there. http://lnk.co/G89CK

Hear hear. Even though there are moments when I hate the crowds and the noise in London - especially in the summer - there's nowhere else in the country that can match the city in terms of atmosphere and energy. Spending yesterday in Hyde Park reminded me of all the reasons I live here. Where else can you shop in Harrods, engage in battle with a Boris bike and tuck into cider and chips within the space of a couple of hours?

Genius post Jeni! I am loving the having a reason to get up in the morning. Not only does it keep you alive, but it also would keep depression at bay as well, I would imagine (which, I guess can be the same as keeping one alive...).

I think you’ve made some really good points here. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned the vast amount of opportunities people have these days. When our parents were in their twenties, you finished school or uni, started working, got married and had kids – more often than not, in that order. That was the way life was, and the ‘grass is always greener’ mentality probably wasn’t as prevalent as it is today.

Nowadays, there’s no longer a set timeline to follow, and I think there’s a certain pressure – whether that’s internal or external – to ‘have it all’. Most people our age want to travel, make money, enjoy a great social life and keep their independence. But they also want to meet the love of their life, settle down and start a family. The difficulty comes when we realise we can’t necessarily do everything, all at once. We have to make a choice as to what the priorities in our life are at any one time, and we inevitably feel like we’re missing out on something.

I wish I knew the solution, but I’m not even sure there is one. Like you said, I’m grateful for all the opportunities I have and all the possibilities that lie in my future. But, as exciting as it is not knowing where life will take you, it’s scary too.

I've noticed lately that many women are choosing to be stay-at-home moms. I was completely baffled by this... until I read this post. I think you're right: the new expectation is that women climb the career ladder. There seems to be no room for both, and if the choice comes down to one or the other, you're criticized either way. I don't understand why this has to be a gender issue. I think it's a lifestyle issue, too, and that it all comes down to the person's choices and what works best for them. I personally like working and making my own money, but I also want to have kids someday, and I am conflicted by continuing to work or stay at home when those hypothetical kids arrive.

I recently saw a tabloid with a really disgusting cover and headline, celebrating bin Laden's death. I in no way condone what he did, but after reading this really awesome piece the NYT did on bin Laden's life and death, I can understand why he was that way. I too am disgusted by how people have been celebrating. I'm also disgusted by the fact that we just dumped his body in the ocean. You could argue that many of the people he killed were never properly buried, but to me, two wrongs don't make a right. His body should have been delivered to his family. It's just the right thing to do. He was not a good person, at all, but his family deserved the chance to decide how to bury him.

I want so badly for this "war on terrorism" to be approached differently, in so many ways. I don't think we should hold one man responsible for terrorism. There is terrorism everywhere, carried out by many different people. Middle Eastern people are being discriminated against and being held accountable for acts of terrorism, without proof of their having done anything wrong.

I am just so saddened by the way the American people -- my people -- have been acting ever since 9/11. I think there is a better way to behave.

It's the best time to make some plans for the future and it's time to be happy. I have read this submit and if I may I wish to counsel you some attention-grabbing issues or tips. Perhaps you could write next articles relating to this article. I desire to read more things about it!
